Starting November 10, 2025:

• The Hyvä Theme will be relicensed under OSL3 + AFL3, the same licensing model used by Magento Open Source.
• All Hyvä Theme compatibility modules will also become open source.
• The theme will be available on GitHub and Packagist with free Composer keys.

This allows developers to learn from the codebase, build on top of it, and even create their own commercial themes using Hyvä as the foundation.

What Remains Premium

Some Hyvä products will continue as paid offerings:

• Hyvä Checkout
• Hyvä Enterprise
• Hyvä Commerce

Meanwhile, Hyvä UI will become a standalone product priced at just €250 per store, giving teams affordable access to ready-made UI components.

Existing Hyvä Theme customers will continue receiving premium support and access to Hyvä UI, along with cashback benefits for upgrading to Hyvä Commerce.
